After-School Writing and Math Support
P.R.I.D.E. (Pupils Requiring Individualized Daily Education)
is an after-school
academic support program, taught by SEMS teachers. P.R.I.D.E. is an
intervention program to assist students whose academic grades are C or
lower. Classes offered are Writing Support (grades 6-8), Math Support
(grade 6), Math Support (grade 7), Math Support (grade 8), and
Specialized Academic Instruction Support (grades 6-8).
Students and parents must sign an application to enroll students in P.R.I.D.E. Applications are available in the Counseling Office.
P.R.I.D.E. meets Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday during period 8 (2:16 - 3:00 p.m.) for six weeks. Attendance is taken.
Session #1 will meet Monday, September 28 - Thursday, November 5, 2015.
Homework Club is a separate program that meets in SEMS Library on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for one hour after school. Closed Friday.
Staff supervision; no teacher assistance available. Limited to 40 students per day.
