Career & Vocational Education

The Career and Vocational Education Department at Mission Hills High School consists of three related areas.

  1. Academies: Culinary Arts, Healthcare, and Public Safety.
  2. Business: Introduction to Business, Word Processing, SDAIE WordProcessing and Retail Marketing.
  3. Computer Technology: Computer Applications, Computer Explorations, Graphic Design/Desktop Publishing, Multimedia, TV News Production.

The mission of the Career and Vocational Education Department is: To prepare a diverse population for further education, employment and occupational changes.

As a result of this mission, students at the completion of their Career and Vocational Education experience will: Acquire occupational knowledge and skills, demonstrate appropriate workplace skills and effective behaviors and attain job acquisition skills with an awareness of career options and life long learning opportunities.

The Career and Vocational Education Department offers courses and opportunities for students where they will develop in a supportive nurturing environment and obtain real world experience.
