San Marcos High School Guidance

The mission of the counseling department is to facilitate the intellectual and emotional development of students as they grow into productive citizens, prepared to function in an ever-changing world. In partnership with fellow educators, students' families, and the community, counselors assist students in the areas of academics, career exploration, and personal/social development. In a safe, supportive environment, students are encouraged to enhance their understanding of themselves and others and to grow in awareness of the many opportunities which await them upon successful completion of their high-school studies.
